Privacy at DogEared
DogEared stores the information needed to run a useful reading shelf, not to sell reader attention.
What DogEared Stores
DogEared stores account information such as your login email, profile details you choose to add, and settings needed to keep your account working.
It also stores the reading information you save here: shelves, reading progress, ratings, reviews, finished-book notes, follows, and related activity needed to show your profile and recommendations.
How That Information Is Used
Reading data is used to power your shelves, profile, activity, discovery, and recommendations. Public profile and activity visibility follow the privacy settings in your account.
DogEared does not sell personal data. The product is built around reader trust, focused collection, and a calmer reading experience.
Your Control
You can change profile visibility, activity sharing, and location sharing from Settings. You can also edit or remove books, ratings, reviews, and progress updates from your account.
The guiding principle is simple: your reading history should help you read better, not become ad inventory.
